FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - October 10^th, 2015, The Emmanuel College lady lions swimming team welcomed Point University to their second home swim meet of the season.  After the opening of the national anthem, by Emmanuel's very own swimmers, Paisley Whitaker and prayer by Wyatt Nicholson, the action began! The lady lions defeated the lady skyhawks 169 to 51.

Congratulations goes to EC swimmer, Morgan Harkness who set a new school record in the 1000 yard Freestyle finishing 1^st and posting a time of 11:10.78.

In the Stroke events, Gonzalez (1:00.00) and Burtt (1:30.23) completed the Women's 100 fly with 1^st and 2^nd places.  Gonzalez (28.40) brought home a 1^st place finish in the women's 50 fly followed by Morgan Harkness in 3^rd (30.20). Overa placed 2^nd (32.94) in the 50 back and Gratz completed the race in 3^rd place (39.69). Following this the EC lions then took over the 50 breaststroke with Tobo (34.23) and Johnstone (35.91) placing 1^st and 2^nd. In the 100 back Whitaker (1:12.90), and Curtright (1:37.92) completed the race in 2^nd and 3^rd positons. Tobo (1:14.47) pulled out a 1^st place win for the Lions in the 100 breast followed by Burtt in second with a 1:27.39.  Tobo (2:16:67) brings in a 1^st place finish in the women's 200 IM followed by Audrey Johnstone (2:23.15) in 2^nd and Overa in 3^rd (2:44.55).

In the Sprint events, Harkness (26.95), Gratz (28.01) and Whitaker (28.13) placed 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd in the Women's 50 free. Johnstone (56.99), Overa (1:04.94), and Sarah Curtright (1:12.45) completing the Women's 100 free in 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd positions. Gonzalez (2:10.50), Curtright (2:38.59), and Burtt (2:40.05) then placed 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd in the Women's 200 free. 

In the Distance events, Whitaker placed 2^nd in the 500 free posting a time of 6:30.19. Followed by Sarah Curtright in 3^rd (7.13.43).

In the Relays, the 200 free relay (Harkness, Burtt, Whitaker and Overa), brought home 1^st place with a time of (1:56.41). Tobo, Gratz, Gonzalez and Johnstone swam 2:03.25 for 1^st place in the 200 yard medley relay.
