Franklin Springs, GA --- The EC Women's swim team hosted the Emmanuel Senior Day Winter Meet, January 23, 2021. The lady lions finished second overall: UNC Pembroke (481) Emmanuel (425) Brenau (244) Point (99) Lagrange (6).
 
The lady lions competed well, winning 4 out of the 9 events contested. Top 3 EC swimmers in each event included: In the 200 medley relay, the A relay (Valentina Aloisio, Julia Simioni, Natalie Hayes, Carmen Arnold) finished 1^st(1:50.72). In the 200 free, Valentina Aloisio finished 2^nd(2:01.37). In the 50 free, Carmen Arnold finished 2^nd(25.10) Samantha Davidson 3^rd(25.59). In the 400 IM, Paula Chenquer finished 1^st(4:40.37).
 
In the 100 fly, Paula Chenquer finished 2^nd(58.08). In the 100 free, Gabriela Aguiar finished 2^nd(56.29). In the 100 back, Paula Chenquer finished 1^st(1:01.83). In the 100 breast, Julia Simioni finished 1^st(1:07.35) Valentina Aloisio 2^nd(1:09.80). In the 200 free relay, the A relay (Maria Diaz, Natalie Hayes, Gabriela Aguiar, Julia Simioni) finished 2^nd(1:45.27).
 
With the 2^ndplace team finish, the lady lions move to 11-2 on the season. Next up, the lady lions travel to Jefferson City, TN for a dual meet vs. Carson-Newman University, January 30, 2021. GO LIONS!
