Franklin Springs, GA --- The EC Men's swim team hosted the EC January Invitational, January 22, 2021. The lions finished first overall: Emmanuel (439) Point (197) Lagrange (110). 

The lions competed well, winning 6 out of the 7 events contested. Top 3 EC swimmers in each event included: In the 400 medley relay, the A relay (Hayes, Greber, Dantas, Moreira) finished 1st (3:43.90). The B relay (Thomas, Lane Mendez, Cummings) finished 2nd (3:52.66). 

In the 500 free, Max Cummings finished 2nd (5:35.59) Artur Greber 3rd (5:35.93). In the 200 IM, Igor Bretas Dantas finished 1st (2:00.82) Hunter Hayes 2nd (2:03.13) Alasdair McGhee 3rd (2:04.65). In the 50 free, Rodolfo Moreira finished 1st (22.08) Sam Mauldin 3rd (22.64). 

In the 200 back, Michal Balicki finished 1st (1:57.80) Sam Mauldin 2nd (2:07.59) Hunter Hayes 3rd (2:10.42). In the 200 breast, Artur Greber finished 1st (2:20.72) Victor Lane 2nd (2:21.62) Alasdair McGhee 3rd (2:22.16). In the 200 fly, Igor Bretas Dantas finished 1st (2:05.53) Sebastian Mendez 2nd (2:09.08). 

In the 400 free relay, the A relay (McGhee, Balicki, Mauldin, Moreira) finished 1st (3:23.25). The B relay (Lane, Cummings, Mendez, Thomas) finished 3rd (3:36.12). 

With the 1st place team finish, the lions move to 6-0 on the season. Next up, the lions host the Emmanuel Senior Day Winter Invite, January 23, 2021. GO LIONS!
