Franklin Springs, GA --- The EC Men's swim team hosted the Emmanuel Senior Day Winter Meet, January 23, 2021. The lions finished first overall: Emmanuel (496) Point (270) Lagrange (173).
 
The lions competed well, winning 9 out of the 10 events contested. Top 3 EC swimmers in each event included: In the 200 medley relay, the B relay (Hunter Hayes, Joao Vitor Dos Santos Thomaz, Igor Bretas Dantas, Rodolfo Moreira) finished 1^st(1:36.79). The A relay (Michal Balicki, Sebastian Gongora, Arthur Geber, Samuel Mauldin) finished 2^nd(1:40.67).
 
In the 1650 free, Alasdair McGhee finished 2^nd(18:24.13). In the 200 free, Igor Bretas Dantas finished 1^st(1:49.21) Samuel Mauldin 2^nd(1:58.59) Maximus Cummings 3^rd(2:00.09). In the 50 free, Joao Vitor Dos Santos Thomaz finished 1^st(21.30) Alasdair McGhee 2^nd(23.53) Patrick Thomas 3^rd(24.20).
 
In the 400 IM, Hunter Hayes finished 1^st(4:35.32). In the 100 fly, Arthur Geber finished 1^st(55.01) Sebastian Gongora 2^nd(55.05) Viktor Lane 3^rd(1:00.05). In the 100 free, Igor Bretas Dantas finished 1^st(46.47) Rodolfo Moreira2^nd(49.42).
 
In the 100 back, Michal Balicki finished 1^st(54.96) Samuel Mauldin 2^nd(56.18) Hunter Hayes 3^rd(57.02). In the 100 breast, Joao Vitor Dos Santos Thomaz finished 1^st(57.88) Viktor Lane 3^rd(1:03.82). In the 200 free relay, the A relay (Lane, Balicki, Moreira, McGhee) finished 1^st(1:32.95). The B relay (Thomas, Mendez, Greber, Cummings) finished 3^rd(1:37.18).
 
With the 1^stplace team finish, the lions move to 8-0 on the season. Next up, the lions travel to Jefferson City, TN for a dual meet vs. Carson-Newman University, January 30, 2021.              GO LIONS!
