Concord, N.C.—Conference Carolinas hosts the Men's and Women's Cross Country Spring Championships at Frank Liske Park in North Carolina. 
 
Emmanuel Men's and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to Concord, N.C. to compete in the Conference Carolinas Spring Championship on Friday, January 29, 2021. 
 
The Men's team, led by Coach Dr. Rick Wilson, raced at 3:10 and 4:00 in the 5K championship and also secured the Conference title, coming in first place. 
 
Emmanuel Men finished with a team score of 42, 32 points ahead of second place team, King. The average time for the Lions was 16:46 for the complete 3.2 miles, scoring 2-3-9-12-16 to secure the first place win. The second place finisher for EC with a time of 15:59:5 was sophomore Shane Shelafoe, followed by third place finisher, senior, Ethan Hargrove with a time of 16:26:9. 

Shane Shelafoe and Ethan Hargrove both received First-Team All Conference. Demarco Hernandez and Griffin Stephens both received Second-Team All Conference, and Alexander Andrade-Sosa received Third-Team All Conference. Ethan Hargrove also received the Elite 23 Award, and Dr. Rick Wilson received the Coach of the Year award.
