Allen, Locke and Whitaker helped the Lions cruise against Erskine

Due West, SC-Emmanuel College Women's Basketball team takes on Erskine College Flying Fleet at Galloway Center. 

The Lady Lions win 70-52 against the Flying Fleet advancing to 8-3 in conference play.

The Flying Fleet came out with more energy in the first quarter putting up five offense rebounds to the Lady Lion's three. The lead went back and forth until Emmanuel took hold with 5:51 remaining in the quarter. The Lady Lions were able to end the quarter on top with 26 points to Erskine's 18.

The second quarter was low scoring for both teams. The Flying Fleet barely won the quarter putting up 13 points to Emmanuel's 12. However, the Lady Lions were able to keep the lead and ended the half ahead, 38-31.

After a quick free throw made by the Flying Fleet, the Lady Lions came out strong to start the second half with an 8-0 run extending their lead to 14, the largest of the night so far. Erskine found some light while shooting 2-4 from the three against Emmanuel's 0-3. Fortunately, Emmanuel remained on top, 51-40, before the final quarter while only scoring four more points than Erskine in the third.

The Lady Lions put the game away in the fourth quarter extending their lead to 18 and taking home the win.

The Flying Fleet were led by #23 Shanece Mitchell with 14 points and #1 Anzya Cook with 13 points. The Lady Lions were led by two double-double performances from #23 Breanna Locke with 21 points and 14 rebounds and #2 Jazmin Allen with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Brooke Whitaker also put up 11 points for Emmanuel.
