Box Score Franklin Springs, GA - The Lions earned their second win of the week in a back and forth game with North Greenville. The Lions were up by as much as 18 in the first half and they went into halftime with a 49-35 lead. Some hot shooting by the Crusaders allowed them to fight their way back into the game. They got within two points of the Lions with 3 minutes to go. However, some clutch shots from
KJ Jones II helped the Lions pull away with their eighth straight victory.
As a team the Lions continued their hot shooting going 30 for 58 (51%) from the field, and 10 for 25 (40%) beyond the arc. They also assisted on 18 of there 30 baskets. The Lions continued to dominate the rebounding margin, winning the glass by 10, 33 to 23. The Lions had multiple guys reach double figures.
The conference leading scorer,
KJ Jones II, had a huge night for the Lions putting up a double-double with 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He was also a perfect 15-15 from the charity strike.
KJ Jones II had 5 assists as well.
Sophomore forward,
Kyler Ingram, continued his hot play going a perfect 8 for 8 from the field with 16 points. He grabbed 7 rebounds, 4 of those were offensive.
Senior guard,
Tyonn Stuckey, added 14 points. He was an efficient 4 for 6 from the field and was perfect from beyond the arc knocking down both of his attempts.
Tyonn Stuckey had 4 assists as well.
Sophomore forward,
Jayvion Rucker, had 10 points along with 3 rebounds.
Lions will be back in action Friday at 2pm versus Barton College. They will be looking for their ninth straight victory.
