Box Score Franklin Springs, GA - This is the time of year where you will take a win however you can get it. The Lions continued with their hot shooting to start the game going into halftime with a 41-29 lead, going 16 of 33 from the field (48.5%) and 8 of 17 from the field (47%). Of those 16 baskets the Lions assisted on 13 of them. Their largest lead was 19 points in the first half. 

The second half was a different story as the Lions shot just 35% from the field and 25% from deep. Barton was able to storm back as they started the second half on a 17-4 run to take a 46-45 lead. That run was anchored by Isaiah Reddish of Barton who had a game high 22 points. However, despite shots not falling the Lions made timely buckets and got timely stops to stay at the top spot in conference standings

A trio of Lions reached double figures: 

The Conference Carolinas leading scorer, KJ Jones II, had his tenth game where he reached at least 20 points. He put in 21 points and went a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line. He grabbed a team high 6 rebounds as well. 

Senior guard, Tyonn Stuckey, had 15 points going 4 for 7 from beyond the arc. He also grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.  

Sophomore forward, Jayvion Rucker, added 11 and 3 rebounds. 

Senior guard, Brandon Simpson, stuffed the stat sheet with 8 points, a team high 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

The Lions will be looking for their fourth win of the week and their tenth in a row as they are back at home with a game versus Mount Olive at 5:30pm tomorrow evening, February 20, 2021. The Lions will also be celebrating Senior Night.
