Franklin Springs, Ga—A tough loss for the Lady Lions this morning in their match against King University, coming out of the match winning 1 out of 4.

The entire match was back and forth for who would claim the lead, beginning with the first set against the Conference rival. The score flipped between the two teams and resulted in a point battle in order to gain the two point advantage, eventually won by King 29-27.

The second set was a win for the Lions, with 13 Kills and only 4 errors against the Tornado 9 kills and 6 errors that gave Emmanuel the lead 25-18 in order to tie the match wins.

The Lions outscored the Tornado on kills with 55 total, King with 40, but it was not enough to secure the victory in this match. The King Tornado swept up points from the Lion's 37 total errors opposed to King 13, ultimately costing Emmanuel a match victory.

The King Tornado was led by Julie Ward with 10 total kills, Kayley Holtzclaw with 9, and Brittany Ramsey with 7, as well as Katie Harless with 19 assists and Abigail Shaffer with 21 defensive digs.

The Lady Lions were led by #3 Hallie Richardson with 13 kills, #11 Mia Cotton with 11, and #13 Alaina Emminger with 10, as well as #12 Gabrielle McGlamery with 26 assists and #4 Victoria Alexander with 22 defensive digs.

The third and fourth sets were consistent for the Tornado, beating the Lions 25-19 in both sets to take hold of the match victory. The Lions outscored the Tornado in kills each set averaging .109 in the match, but fell short regardless.

A tough loss but a great fight and some excellent volleyball from the Lady Lions in this Conference match, bumping the record 2-2 for this season.
