Box Score Greenwood, SC - Emmanuel College Lions stole the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Lander University on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Emmanuel College Lions batting in the top of the fifth when Noelle Petty singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Lander University scored three runs in the third inning, but Emmanuel College Lions still managed to pull out the victory. Lander University big bats were led by Rylee Omahen and Barbara Cook, all driving in runs in the frame.Emmanuel College Lions got things started in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Lions.

Lander University knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the third inning, when Lander University scored one run on a stolen base. Kaitlyn Pickens led things off on the rubber for the Lions . The right hander lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out four.

Emmanuel College Lions socked one home run on the day. Kya Santiago had a dinger in the third inning.

Kya Santiago went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Lady Lions in hits.
