Box Score Franklin Springs, Ga—The University of Mount Olive Women's Volleyball team loses their first game of the season to the Emmanuel College Lady Lions.
The Lions started the match off strong, winning the first set with 17 total kills, the most in any of the sets today. The team took the court by storm and defeated the Trojans 25-17 to set the tone for the match.
While the Trojans came back fighting in the second set, winning 25-14, it was not enough to secure the match win. UMO outkilled the Lions in this set by one kill, with 10 in the set.

The third set was a point battle between the two teams as they fought for the match win. The ladies went kill for kill, scoring points with 14 Lions kills and 10 Trojan kills. The teams gave up an almost equal amount of points through errors, Emmanuel with 6 and Mount Olive with 7 however, Emmanuel came out on top 25-20.
The final set of the match was won by Emmanuel with 16 kills, compared to the Trojans 3. The Lady Lions kept up the momentum in order to secure the match win in four sets, the final ending 25-13.
The Trojans were led by #13 Amara Eziakonwa with 9 total kills and #5 Alyssa Jackson with 13 total defensive digs.
