Box Score Franklin Springs, Ga— Emmanuel Women's Volleyball takes on Belmont Abbey for the second time this season, claiming the victory in a quick 3 sets.
Emmanuel and Belmont faced off yet again today in Volleyball to see who would come out on top in this intense conference rivalry match.
The first set featured a runaway start from the Lions, scoring 7 in a row against the Crusaders with 3 kills, 3 aces, and a point gained off of a Crusader error. The Lions maintained the momentum and went on to win the set 25-19.
The second set started off as a point battle but soon led to a Lion streak of 6 points that helped propel the, towards the victory, ending 25-20.
The Crusaders fought to come back in the third set but the Lions were hanging on to their lead, gaining a 14 point victory 20-6 before BAC began to battle back. The Crusaders were able to fight the Lions, closing the gap to only 8 points before the Lions took the win 25-17.
Despite a tough loss, the Crusaders were led by #11 Katie Williams with 10 kills, #8 Paige Rawlins with 7 kills and 15 assists, and #3 Hailey Ryan with 17 defensive digs.
