Box Score Central, SC - The Emmanuel College Women's soccer team won their Conference Carolinas match against Southern Wesleyan University, 2-0. This win brings the Lions record to 2-3 in the conference.

The Lions controlled most of the first half with a positive energy and determination. Senior, Hannah Logue, scored a shot in the lower left corner of the goal at the 35th minute. The Lions continued to find success as Breanna Gomez had a solid finish and found the back of the net in the 42nd minute, assisted by Hannah Logue. 

The second half remained scoreless, however, the Lions continued defending and did not allow for any goals. Freshman goalkeeper, Kristin Liquori, had her first shutout with 13 saves for the game. 

Next up, women's soccer continues the action at Erskine College on Sunday, March 28th at 2:00pm.
