Box Score Due West, SC --- The Emmanuel College Women's soccer team won their Conference Carolinas match against Erskine College, 4-0. This win brings the Lions record to 3-3 in the conference and 3-5 on the season. Despite a slight delay, due to lightning, the Lady Lions were ready from the start. Senior,Hannah Logue got the team off to an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the first minute, which helped set the tone for the team's play throughout the rest of the game. Erskine was able to hold the Lions to just one goal in the first half, despite outshooting the flying fleet by 7 to 4.  

Even with Erskine's adjustments and energy to start the second half, Emmanuel still maintained control of the play. The Lions were able to continue to put pressure onto the Flying Fleet and maintain possession within the attacking half most of the match. After the 65th minute the Lions turned their pressure into goals. Moriah Logue doubled the lead with a run from midfield and shot from distance in the 69th minute. 

Hannah Logue got her 2nd goal after a dynamic move and shot off the back post and into the net in the 80th minute, despite being heavily defended by the Erskine backline. Sophomore,Ellie LaCour, entered the game, having an immediate impact on the play and the score sheet, with a goal of her own to take the lead to 4-0. 
Freshman goalkeeper, Kristin Liquori, had her second shutout of the season with 3 saves for the game. The overall team defensive effort, as well as urgency in possession, gave the Lions a comfortable 4-0 win against the Flying Fleet from Erskine. 

Next up, women's soccer continues in their Conference Carolinas action at University of Mt. Olive to take on the Trojans after Easter Break on Sunday, April 11th at 4:00pm.
