Box Score Franklin Springs, GA: The Emmanuel College men's lacrosse team lost their conference match up against Mount Olive, 21-9. The lost brings the Lions record 3-6 overall, 1-4 in the conference.
FIRST PERIOD
The Lions had a strong showing in the first half after two goals from Allan Velasquez and Shamaz Durrant. The Trojans would then answer back to tie the game 2-2. The lions answers back with a goal from Nolan Winter to give the Lions a lead 3-2. The first period ended 3-3.
SECOND PERIOD
Emmanuel continued their run in the second period, outscoring the Torjans 5-3 to lead 8-6 at halftime. Seniors, Alex Stull recorded 4 goals in the second period and Justin Parker recorded one goal.
THIRD PERIOD
Emmanuel continued their momentum going into the third period, but the Trojans held them up and became more offensive. The Lions only scored one goal in the third period while the Trojans scored 7 goals. The third period ended 9-13.
FOURTH PERIOD
The Lions once again tried to bring back some energy. However, the Trojans kept attacking and did not let the Lions score a single goal. The game ended 21-9.
Senior,Jake Brundage recorded 22 saves with 43 shots on goal.
