Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Franklin Springs, GA - The Lady Lions took on Erskine College for a Conference Carolinas doubleheader for our Lady Lions Senior Day. This brings the Lions overall stats to 15-25 and 8-10 in conference. 

Game 1 - Lions Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Emmanuel College Lions watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-1 loss to Erskine College on Tuesday. Erskine College scored on a walk by Shi Cain, a stolen base by Cain, and a home run by Katie Hunter in the first inning.

The Emmanuel College Lions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Erskine College, giving up nine runs.

Erskine College got on the board in the first inning when Cain drew a walk, scoring one run. Hannah Houge led things off on the rubber for Erskine College. The pitcher allowed seven hits and one run over five innings, striking out six.

Kaitlyn Pickens led things off in the circle for Emmanuel College Lions , but after the quick lead by the Fleet, Dani Fairey came in as the relief. The lefty went one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on three hits. Kaleigh Fowler threw three and a third innings out of the bullpen.

Brighton Harder led Emmanuel College Lions with two hits in three at bats.  Emmanuel College Lions was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kya Santiago had the most chances in the field with three.

Game 2 - Lions Claims Victory Over Erskine College In Blow-Out Fashion, 12-4

Emmanuel College Lions had all cylinders firing on offense on Tuesday, winning big over the #1 in the Conference.

Erskine College got on the board in the first inning. Erskine College scored two runs when Kyndall Chandler singled.

In the bottom of the first inning, Lady Lions tied things up at two. With an error from Erskine's short stop and catcher. 

After Erskine College scored two runs in the top of the fifth, Emmanuel College Lions answered with two of their own. Erskine College scored when Shi Cain homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.  Emmanuel College Lions then answered when Kya Santiago singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run and Ally Harris grounded out, scoring one run.

Emmanuel College Lions pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second Kya Santiago doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run and Emmanuel College Lions scored on a stolen base during Ally Harris's at bat. Then Ally Harris singled, driving in one.

Sydney Blackmon got the win for Emmanuel College Lions . The lefthander surrendered four runs on five hits over six innings, striking out one.

Chloe Hamilton took the loss for Erskine College. The bulldog lasted four and a third innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out four.

Emmanuel College Lions scattered 14 hits in the game. Kya Santiago, Isabelle Petty, Lily Shelton, Ally Harris, and Brighton Harder each racked up multiple hits for Emmanuel College Lions.  Isabelle Petty and Kya Santiago each collected three hits to lead Emmanuel College Lions. Emmanuel College Lions didn't commit a single error in the field. Abbey Sims had the most chances in the field with five.
