SPARTANBURG, SC – The Emmanuel Cross Country team competed in the Converse Kick Off hosted by Converse University over the weekend. On the Men's side, the Lions placed 18^th out of 22 teams competing. 
 
Freshman, Robbie Woods led the way for Emmanuel, finishing in 132^nd place with a time of 29:07.9 in the 8K. Kemarion Thomas finished in 161^st with a time of 29:56.9 and Zaylen Alexander finished the race in 168^th with a time of 30:07.6. Tyler Johnson finished in 168^th with a time of 30:10.2.
 
Next up the Lions will compete in the Alexander/Asics Invitational on October 4^th.
