Lions Down Lincoln Memorial 48-1!

Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Wrestling team hosted Lincoln Memorial University this afternoon in their first dual of 2025. After a quick start, the Lady Lions didn't let their foot off the gas, earning a 48-1 victory. With the win, the Lions improve to 15-1 on the season.
 
RESULTS – 
 
In the 131 lb. weight class, Jewelysa Funakoshi (Emmanuel) won via fall (2:29)
In the 138 lb. weight class, Gianna Anaya  (Emmanuel) won via fall (1:30)
In the 145 lb. weight class, Gianna DiBenedetto (Emmanuel) won via decision (9-2)
In the 160 lb. weight class, Kendra Heroch (Emmanuel) won via fall (0:53)
 
The Lions will be back in action on January 10th as they travel to the National Duals in Cedar Falls, IA.
