Lions Fall to Lees McRae 5-2

Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team hosted Lees McRae in conference action this afternoon. The Bobcats jumped out to an early lead, earning the doubles point then closed out the match earning 4 of 6 wins in singles play. With the loss, the Lions fall to 2-8 on the season, 0-1 in conference play. 

 DOUBLES PLAY 
  1. At #1 doubles, Sabina Roua/Shatavisa Ghosh (EU) fell to P. Sanchez/A. Ivanova (LMC) 6-1. 
  2. At #2 doubles, Tawana Senah/Anna Goncalves (EU) fell to M. Noor/A. Mazzei Lopez (LMC) 6-3. 
  3. At #3 doubles, Franziska Wolter/Emma Auger (EU) fell to L. Saqout/C. Brothers (LMC) 7-5. 
SINGLES PLAY
  1. At #1 singles, Sabina Roua (EU) fell to P. Sanchez (LMC) 6-0. 6-0. 
  2. At #2 singles, Shatavisa Ghosh (EU) fell to M. Noor (LMC) 6-3, 7-6. 
  3. At #3 singles, Tawana Senah (EU) fell to L. Saquot (LMC) 6-4, 7-5. 
  4. At #4 singles, Anna Goncalves (EU) def. A. Ivanova (LMC) in three sets, taking the first 6-4, falling in set two, 6-0, and earning a 7-5 win in set three.
  5. At #5 singles, Franzieska Wolter (EU) def. A. Mazzei Lopez (LMC) in three sets, taking set one 6-4, falling 6-0 in set two, and earning the win in set three, 10-8. 
  6. At #6 singles, Emma Auger (EU) fell to C. Brothers (LMC) 6-2, 6-1.
