Franklin Springs, GA - The Emmanuel Beach Volleyball team hosted Huntingdon College and Jacksonville State on Friday at the Emmanuel Beach Volleyball Courts. The Lions went 2-0 on the afternoon to move to 9-4 on the season.  

Emmanuel 4, Huntingdon 1

1. At #1 Doubles, Ellie Jackson/Izabela Zukowska (EU) def. A. Helmick/V. Tikhomirova (HC) in straight sets, 21-11, 22-20. 
2. At #2 Doubles, Kaleigh Morawietz/Leah Van Wyngarden (EU) def. I. Valldeperas/A. Janowski (HC) in three sets, taking the first 21-17 before falling in set two, 21-16. The Lions rallied to win set three, 15-10. 
3. At #3 Doubles, Izabel Miller/Ella Johns (EU) def. J. Hilyer/E. Ellenburg (HC) in three sets, losing the first 21-18 before rallying to win the final two sets, 21-11, 15-7. 
4. At #4 Doubles, M. Suggs/C. Chancey (HC) def. Samantha Dibene/Aaliyah Lobendahn (EU) in three sets, with the Lions winning the first set 21-19, and Huntingdon taking the final two, 21-17, 15-9. 
5. At #5 Doubles, Faith Kelly/Maisy Farrow (EU) def. L. Hitchcock/J. Dupree (HC) 21-9, 21-18. 

In the exhibition match, Cailin Pritchard/Maya Hedden (EU) def. H. Rutherford/L. Hoffman (HC) 21-9, 21-12. 

Emmanuel 4, Jacksonville State 1

1. At #1 Doubles, Kaleigh Morawietz/Leah Van Wyngarden (EU) def. B. Schiffli/K. Williams (JSU) 21-19, 21-18. 
2. At #2 Doubles, L. Wilkinson/H. Aiana (JSU) def. Ella Johns/Izabel Miller (EU) in three sets. The Lions took the first set, 21-15 before falling in the final two sets, 21-10, 15-11.
3. At #3 Doubles, Samantha Dibene/Aaliyah Lobendahn (EU) def. C. Lynch/C. Havekost (JSU) 21-16, 21-15. 
4. At #4 Doubles, Cailin Pritchard/Maya Hedden (EU) def. M. Konopka/E. Garrett (JSU) 21-16, 21-10. 
5. At #5 Doubles, Faith Kelly/Maisy Farrow (EU) def. E. Fox/A. Tolentino (JSU) 21-10, 21-11. 

The Lions are back in action on Friday for a tournament at Mercer University beginning at 10AM.
