Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Tennis team hosted Francis Marion University this afternoon in conference action. The Lions jumped out to an early lead after earning the doubles point. The Patriots rallied to earn 4 of 6 singles match wins to earn the 4-3 win. With the loss, the Lions fall to 5-8 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.

1. At #1 Doubles, M. Barbera/M. Maia (FMU) def. James Girdler/Aleksander Simovski (EU) 6-3.
2. At #2 Doubles, Henrique Castro/Marcos Llorens (EU) def. H. Lloyd-Evans/A. Vienna (FMU) 6-4. 
3. At #3 Doubles, Murilo Martins/Alejandro Gomez (EU) def. D. Vega Espinosa/A. Calvo-Guerrero (FMU) 7-5.  

SINGLES PLAY

1. At #1 Singles, M. Barbera (FMU) def. Murilo Martins (EU) 6-4, 7-6. 
2. At #2 Singles, James Girdler (EU) def. M. Maia (FMU) 6-2, 7-5.
3. At #3 Singles, Henrique Castro (EU) fell to H. Lloyd Evans (FMU) in three sets, earning a win in set one, 6-4 before falling in the final two sets, 6-2, 6-1. 
4. At #4 Singles, Aleksander Simovski (EU) def. R. Moura Ludgero (FMU) 6-3, 6-3. 
5. At #5 Singles, Alejandro Gomez (EU) fell to L. Lopez Sarasa (FMU) in three sets, taking set one 6-1, before falling in the final two sets, 6-3, 6-4. 
6. At #6 Singles, Matheus Pimenta (EU) fell to D. Vega Espinosa (FMU) in three sets, falling in set one, 7-5 before taking set two, 6-0, and dropping set three, 6-2.
