Gaston, NC – The Emmanuel Beach Volleyball team traveled to Dallas, NC for the inaugural SAC/Conference Carolinas Conference Championship. The #3 seeded Lions faced #2 Tusculum and #6 Wingate today, with the top two teams moving onto the final day of the tournament. The Lions fell to Tusculum 4-1 in game one but earned a 3-2 victory in thrilling fashion against Wingate in the final game.

1. B. Smith/H. Marsh (TU) 2, Izabela Zukowska/Ellie Jackson (EM) 1. Zukowska and Jackson won the first set, 21-13 before falling 22-20, 15-7. 
2. Cailin Pritchard/Aaliyah Lobendahn (EM) 2, M. Johson/K. Mercado (TU) 1. Pritchard and Lobendahn fell in the first set, 21-18 before taking the final two sets, 22-20, 15-13. 
3. R. Gallagher/M. Willis (TU) 2, Kaleigh Morawietz/Leah Van Wyngarden (EM) 1. Morawietz and Van Wyngarden lost the first set, 24-22 before taking set two, 23-21. The Pioneers won set three, 15-11.

5. K. Murphy/N. Goss (TU) 2, Faith Kelly/Maisy Farrow (EM) 1. Kelly and Farrow won the first set, 21-13 before falling in the final two sets, 21-15, 15-10.
