Belmont, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Tennis team traveled to Belmont, NC to face the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey in conference action. The Lions got off to a good start, taking the doubles point but the Crusaders rallied to win 5 of 6 singles matches to earn a 5-2 victory. With the loss, the Lions fall to 9-10 on the season, 6-3 in conference play. 
DOUBLES PLAY

• At #1 Doubles, James Girdler/Aleksander Simovski (EU) def. C. Fremaux/I. Buerkle (BAC) 6-4. 
• At #2 Doubles, Henrique Castro/Marcos Llorens (EU) def. N. Cary/J. Korta (BAC) 6-1.
• At #3 Doubles, Murilo Martins/Matheus Pimenta (EU) fell to T. Stemler/N. Ampong (BAC) 6-0. 

SINGLES PLAY

• At #1 Singles, Murilo Martins (EU) fell to R. Novell (BAC) in three sets, dropping the first 6-3 before taking set two, 7-5. Martins would fall in set 3, 6-1. 
• At #2 Singles, James Girdler (EU) def. C. Fremaux (BAC) 7-6, 6-1.
• At #3 Singles, Henrique Castro (EU) fell to P. Bayo (BAC) 6-1. 6-3. 
• At #4 Singles, Aleksander Simovski (EU) fell to T. Stemler (BAC) 6-4, 7-6.
• At #5 Singles, Alejandro Gomez (EU) fell to N. Cary (BAC) 6-4, 6-0. 
• At #6 Singles, Matheus Pimenta (EU) fell to K. Jackson (BAC) 6-1, 6-1.
