Box Score SUMTER, SC – The Emmanuel Men's Tennis team traveled to Sumter, SC to compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship held at the Palmetto Tennis Club. The Lions matched up with the Young Harris Mountain Lions in the first round of play. The Mountain Lions jumped out to an early lead, taking the doubles point then carried their momentum into singles play, sweeping the Lions 4-0. 
DOUBLES PLAY

• At #1 Doubles, James Girdler/Aleksander Simovski (EU) fell to S. Guzon/M. Harmon (YHC) 6-4. 
• At #2 Doubles, Henrique Castro/Macros Llorens (EU) fell to N. Pawirodirjo/C. McCurry (YHC) 6-2 
• At #3 Doubles, Murilo Martins/Matheus Pimenta (EU) fell to G. Gottein/G. Williams (YHC) 6-4. 

SINGLES PLAY

• At #3 Singles, G. Williams (YHC) def. Henrique Castro (EU) 7-6, 7-5. 
• At #5 Singles, S. Guzon (YHC) def.  Alejandro Gomez (EU) 6-3, 6-3. 
• At #6 Singles, N. Vercruyssen (YHC) def. Matheus Pimenta (EU) 6-2, 6-3. 

The #1, #2, and #4 Singles matches remained unfinished.
