GAINESVILLE, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Swim team traveled to Gainesville, GA for a tri-meet with Brenau University and Thomas University. The Lions swam fast, going 2-0 on the night with wins over Brenau, 106-34 and Thomas, 113-26 to move to 12-2 on the season. The event, which was supposed to be a home meet but was moved due to an electrical issue was the team's Breast Cancer Awareness meet, and the Lions honored survivors and remembered those who lost their battle to Breast Cancer by wearing pink swim caps.
RESULTS
- In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, the Emmanuel team of Isabell Schiller, Catalina Acacio, Marcela Alonso, and Isabella Hernandez earned the first-place finish with a time of 3:59.74.
- In the 500 Yard Freestyle, Eulalie Clech placed first with a time of 5:04.09, with Hernandez placing 2ndwith a time of 5:20.79.
- In the 200IM, Schiller placed first with a time of 2:09.09, with Acacio placing 2nd with a time of 2:13.70.
- In the 50 freestyle, the Lions were led by Marcela Alonso who placed first with a time of 25.12. Rhyan Murphy took 2nd with a time of 26.19.
- In the 200 Backstroke, Schiller took first with a time of 2:07.01.
- In the 200 Breaststroke, Acacio took first with a time of 2:20.22.
- In the 200 Butterfly, Ana Morales took first with a time of 2:20.68, with Melanie Tupiza placing 2nd with a time of 2:23.26.
- In the 400 Freestyle Relay, the Emmanuel team of Hernandez, Alonso, Boglarka Bedi, and Clech took first with a time of 3:41.87.
The Lions will be back in action tomorrow for Senior Day at the Robert Roberson Aquatic Center where they'll face Thomas University at 11AM.
