CLEVELAND, GA – The Emmanuel Beach Volleyball team opened their season at Truett McConnell University for the TMU Invitational where they faced Georgia Highlands University and the host Bears. The Lions started off strong with a 5-0 win over Georgia Highlands. Emmanuel followed that up with a 4-1 victory over Truett McConnell before sweeping Georgia Highlands, 5-0 to close out the day.

FLIGHT 1: Leah Van Wyngarden/Faith Kelly (EU) 2, V. Johnson/J. Tolsa (GH) 0. Van Wyngarden and Kelly swept both sets, 21-5, 21-8. 
FLIGHT 2: Kaleigh Morawietz/Maisy Farrow (EU) 2, E. Goodson/J. Smith (GH) 0. Morawitz and Farrow won both sets 21-6, 21-8. 
FLIGHT 3: Maya Hedden/Maryn Barrow (EU) 2, Maddie/Lauryn (GH), 0. Hedden and Barrow won both sets 21-7, 21-6. 
FLIGHT 4: Emberlynn Lee/Alondra Rios (EU) 2, Nevaya/Abby (GH) 0. Lee and Rios won both sets, 21-3, 21-13.
FLIGHT 5: Aaliyah Lobendahn/Brooke Lee (EU) 2, Lexi/Kiara (GH) 0. Lobendahn and Lee won both sets 21-2, 21-2.

FLIGHT 2: Kaleigh Morawietz/Maisy Farrow (EU)2, S. Marquez/R. Strickland (TMU) 1. Morawietz and Farrow won the first set, 23-21 before falling in set two, 21-11. The Lions bounced back to take set three, 15-8.
