Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team hosted Shorter University this afternoon in conference action. The Lions jumped out to an early lead earning the doubles point, but the Hawks rallied to win 4 of 6 singles matches to earn the 4-3 victory.

- At #1 Singles, Tawana Senah (Emmanuel) def. S. Guiza (Shorter) 6-3, 6-3.
- At #2 Singles, Anna Goncalves (Emmanuel) fell to S. Arellano (Shorter) 6-4, 7-5.
- At #3 Singles, Anhelina Zmushko (Emmanuel) fell to L. Villanueva (Shorter) in three sets. Zmushko took set one, 6-4, before falling in the final two sets, 4-6, 6-7.
- At #4 Singles, Franziska Wolter (Emmanuel) fell to L. Martin in three sets. Wolter took set one, 6-3 before falling, 5-7, 1-6.
- At #5 Singles, Emma Auger (Emmanuel) fell to D. Hernandez (Shorter) 2-6, 4-6.
- The Hawks won the #6 Singles match by default.
Next up, the Lions will face Barton College at 11AM on Friday.
