Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team hosted Erskine College this afternoon in conference action. The Flying Fleet got off to a hot start, taking the doubles point. The Lions battled in singles play, with two courts going to 3 sets, but the Lions fell 7-0.

DOUBLES PLAY

• At #1 Doubles, Tawana Senah/Anna Goncalves (EU) fell to V. Guerrero/A. Jativa (EC) 6-1.
• At #2 Doubles, Franziska Wolter/Anhelina Zmushko (EU) def. M. Padovani/B. Brito (EC) 6-3.
• The Lions lost #3 Doubles due to withdraw.

SINGLES PLAY

• At #1 Singles, Tawana Senah (EU) fell to H. Vasconez (EC) in three sets. Senah won set one, 6-3 but Vasconez won the next two sets, 6-3, 7-6. 
• At #2 Singles, Anna Goncalves (EU) fell to V. Guerrero (EC) 6-4, 6-1.
• At #3 Singles, Anhelina Zmushko (EU) fell to A. Jativa (EC) 6-4, 6-4. 
• At #4 Singles, Franziska Wolter (EU) fell to M. Padovani (EC) in three sets. Wolter took set one, 6-3 before falling 6-2, 6-3 in the final two sets. 
• At #5 Singles, Emma Auger (EU) fell to B. Brito (EC) 7-5, 6-4. 

Next up, the Lions will travel to Rome, GA to face Shorter on April 7 at 2PM.
