ROME, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Tennis team traveled to Rome, GA to face the Shorter University Hawks in conference action. The Lions jumped out to an early lead, taking the doubles point. The Lions went onto win 5 of 6 singles matches to earn the 6-1 victory. With the win, the Lions move to 14-3 on the season, 8-0 in conference action.

- At #1 Singles, James Girdler (EU) def. Tubio (SU) 6-2, 6-2.
- At #2 Singles, Murilo Martins (EU) def. Loagza (SU) 6-3, 6-3.
- At #3 Singles, Aleksander Simovski (EU) fell to Tsioumos, retiring due to injury.
- At #4 Singles, Henrique Castro (EU) def. Johannson (SU) in three sets. Johannson took set one, 6-4 but Castro rallied to win the final two, 7-6, 10-8.
- At #5 Singles, Shumpei Kamiyama (EU) def. Liu (SU) 6-1, 6-0.
- At #6 Singles, Matteo Hofstetter (EU) def. Palacios (SU) in three sets. Hofstetter took set one, 6-2, but Palacios rallied to win set two, 6-3. Hofstetter took set three, 10-4.
Next up, the Lions will host Converse University at 1PM on Friday.
