Franklin Springs, Ga – Emmanuel Athletics is thrilled to welcome Jackie Brashear as the new Head Cheer Coach for the Lions! 
 
Jackie is a familiar face on campus, serving as the Associate VP for Marketing & Advancement at Emmanuel University.
 
Jackie began cheering at age 5 and continued through middle and high school. In competition cheer, Jackie was a member of the Stingray and Thunder, where she competed in Level 4 and International Open 6. 
 
She continued her cheerleading career at the Division I level, attending Georgia Southern University, where she was a cheerleader for the Eagles. While there, Jackie was a part of a team that competed at the NCAA Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL.
 
As a coach, Jackie has experience coaching Levels 3-5 tumbling and Pee-Wee to Level 3 competition cheer.
 
What does she hope to bring to the squad?
 
"I hope to help bring community to not only the spirit squad but Emmanuel as a whole, "she said. "I love being a cheerleader to my own friends and family and think that's something that can be spread and grown in everyone."
