Dr. Register is a native Georgian who attended High School inAlpharetta and received a degree in Microbiology from theUniversity of Georgia. While at UGA, he played Offensive Guard onthe Georgia Bulldog football team and was a 3-year letterman from1997-1999. He also won the Joel Eaves Award, which is given to thetop senior scholar-athlete at UGA. He then traveled to studymedicine at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where he methis wife, Jennifer. Following graduation from medical school, hereturned to Atlanta to complete his Orthopedic Surgery Residency atEmory University. Most recently Dr. Register completed a fellowshipin Sports Medicine at the prestigious Steadman Hawkins Clinic inVail, Colorado, where he learned from some of the most well-knownand respected Orthopedic Surgeons in the world. Dr. Register hasbeen in Georgia for 2 years, utilizing the techniques he learnedand providing the best possible outcome for his patients. He isspecifically interested in arthroscopic surgery of the hip,shoulder and knee and he has been trained to perform complexreconstructions of all of these joints.
