FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.--- The Emmanuel College cheer squad is up and roaring as the 2013-2014 basketball season gets underway.

This year the squad is proud to return Samantha Fulbright and Melisa Adams as team captains. With their strong leadership the squad is expecting a tremendous season.

Along with the captains, the squad is returning Brianna Reed, Olivia Adams, Courtney Price, Ashley Norman, Ashlee Bell, Kelssie Dickerson, and Susanna Ray. Joining the squad this year are: Jessica Hart, Meghan Bove', Sharena Wrease, and Courtney Mize. In addition, we are proud to announce the addition of male cheerleaders, Jordan Davis, Peter-Daniel Basson, and Zeke Starks. These are history-making young men, as they became the first male cheerleaders in the team's history.

The cheer squad recently completed a success fundraising drive to purchase a mascot outfit to reflect Emmanuel's "Fire Lion" logo. The fans are on their feet and rallying to the beat to support the cheer squad and the new mascot as they urge the teams on to victory.
