Coach Allen had this to say about the seniors and the game on Saturday: "Senior day is always an emotional roller coaster especially when it's a big game. Lees McRae had just beat Erskine, the only undefeated team in the conference, the night before. We knew it was going to be a game where we would have to play at our very best to compete. There were so many long fought battles throughout the match where I saw these girls fight with so much heart!!! This season the Emmanuel volleyball program has faced numerous transitions with the move to NCAA, a new coach, and new student athletes getting the opportunity to have game experience. This conference is very competitive and on any given night there are upsets. I couldn't be more excited for our future!!
Our five seniors have poured their hearts into leadership and mentoring roles. They have been so supportive of all the changes and because of their positive attitude and work ethic, the younger ladies now see what it takes and have been challenged to build on their successes. Sophie, Andrea, Jenna, Becca and Rhema have been the heartbeat of this team and have given this program consistency over the years. They love Emmanuel and I'm so blessed to have coached them their senior season! They will be missed but I know they will always remain close to the program. These ladies have such bright futures ahead and I'm thrilled to see how God works in their lives."
