MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.—The Emmanuel Men's Volleyball team dropped the match against Mount Olive in a close five set match.

The Lions lost the first set 18-25, came back and won the next two (25-23, 25-22) before the Trojans of Mount Olive took the final two sets (20-25, 7-15) to win the match.

Alex Barbosa led the team with 18 kills. Luke Fountain put down 10 kills. Nik Nelson and Steven Peruyero recorded nine and eight kills, respectively. Enrique Larach collected 46 assists. Meshach McKnight ran the defensive game with 15 digs. Alex Barbosa and Enrique Larach added nine and eight kills, respectively. Larach also put down three service aces.

The Lions have their home opener of the season on Tueday,Janurary 20th at 7:00 PM. The boys will be taking on the Flying Fleet of Erskine, another Conference Carolinas match up.
