Lions with another conference win!

Franklin Springs, Ga - The Lions were looking to make history, as the Jack and Jane Shaw athletic center was filled to near capacity. The fans energized the building, as Zach Lillie knocked down the first two points to get things going for the Lions in the opening minutes. Lions guard Kurtis Robinson help drove the offense and carved the Lions defense with sharp passing, extending their lead. Slowly the Warriors began to chip away as they utilized Kenny Holmes who hit several three's and eventually came back with the Lions only leading only by 11 points.

With just minutes remaining in the first half, Steve Guinchard and Emerson McClung hit back-to-back three's to help the Lions remain with the lead. The Warriors tried to keep up with the Lions offense, but Zach Vess made sure to use pressure defense to stop the Warriors from gaining a lead. The Lions closed out the first half 37-28.

In the second half, the Lions came out looking to continue the momentum as the Lions stretched their lead.The Lions crisp offense help them generate open lanes to score, as Kendrick Colvin drove to the lane. The team continued to zone in as key player Kendrick Colvin provided offensive pressure as he had a fast break dunk. Amongst Colvin creating a defensive halt for the Warriors, the Lions had several players  in the double figures. Emerson McClung with 12 points, Zach Lillie with 11 points, and Elijah Robinson adding 11 points.

The Warriors tried to mount a run but it was to little to late as the Lions controlled all aspects of the game in a 85-59 win. The Lions will continue to utilize their defense pressure as they take on the crusaders at North Greenville University. Tip off is set at 4:00 p.m.
