BELMONT, N.C. - The Emmanuel College Men's Basketball Team took on Belmont Abbey for Friday afternoons game. In a tough matchup, the Lions fell short 116-104.

In what proved to be one of the most competitive matchups this season, the teams had 9 lead changes and both had impressive field goal percentages above 54%. The teams were tied up at 88-88 before the Crusaders began to pull away. With under 7 minutes left in the game, Belmont Abbey was able to drive in a few layups then capitalize on several fouls to capture the victory.

Leading the Lions with his first double double of the season was Kendrick Colvin (#23) with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lions will step back on the court next Tuesday, Jan. 9th against Erskine College.
