YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College men's basketball team lost their season opener to Lenoir-Rhyne 91-70 on Friday afternoon. 

The Bears opened up the game with 6 unanswered points to put themselves ahead. A solid shooting percentage of 55% allowed the Bears to hold their early lead and cruise to a 91-70 victory. 

EC struggled at the three-point line, only shooting 4-19 while their opponent hit 50% of their attempts. Despite their loss, the Lions were almost perfect from the free-throw line, making 20 of their 22 attempts. EC also out-rebounded the Bears 35 to 33.

Tyonn Stuckey led the Lions with 18 points.

Next up, the men's basketball team will continue action tomorrow (November 9th) against Queens University at 2pm.
