FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College men's basketball team captured the 2019 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship on Sunday afternoon with a 75-72 win over Belmont Abbey College.

This marks the programs first ever Conference Carolinas Championship. This impressive feat comes in just their first year of postseason eligibility. With this win, the Lions earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship. 

Three Loins represented Emmanuel on the All-Tournament Team with Senior Kendrick Colvin leading the pack as the 2019 Championship MVP. Also earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team was Senior Austin Greene and Sophomore Brandon Simpson.

The men will find out their 2019 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship seeding tonight on the NCAA Selection Show at 10pm.
