Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Emmanuel College men's volleyball team split their conference games this weekend starting with a 3-0 sweep of Lees-McRae. The Lions would then fall to the higher ranked King University, 3-0. These matches bring the Lions record to 9-17 overall, 4-10 in conference.

Vs Lees-McRae

The Lions posted their second highest hitting percentage of the season (.410) in their 3-0 sweep over Lees-McRae. Junior Aleksa Lakic led the Lions with 12 kills. Sophomore Alex Zayas followed behind with 11. The Lions totaled 41 kills and 20 total blocks in their 25-19, 27-25, 25-21 victory.

Vs King

The Lions struggled to keep pace against the Tornado who dominated at the net with 29 total blocks. Despite three more kills than their opponent, Emmanuel recorded over twice as many hitting errors, making it difficult to dig themselves out of the hole. King went on to take all three sets 25-20, 25-20, 25-15.

Junior Don Thompson led the Lions with 13 kills.

Next up, the Lions will play Erskine on Saturday, March 30th for their final home match of the season.
