OXFORD, GA - Emmanuel Men's Tennis swept Oxford College 7-0 on Saturday afternoon. With this win, the Lions move their record to 1-1 on the season.
The Lions made quick work of the Eagles, quickly capturing the doubles points with all three EC duos topping their opponents. Hassan Badran and Kornel Kimagzewski defeated their opponent 8-5, Javier Crespo and Jorge Canadas easily rolled to a 8-0 win, and Joshua Davis and Munyaradzi Musanhu edged out their opponent 9-8.
The Lions carried their momentum straight into singles play with a clean 6-0 sweep. Kimagzewski defended the #1 spot 6-1, 6-4. Crespo defeated Kevin Yan 6-2, 7-5 in the #2 spot. Singles #3 Joan Grosset cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 victory. In the #4 spot, Juan Camilo Burgos topped his opponent 6-2, 6-3. Joshua Davis secured an easy 6-0, 6-2 win at #5, and Musanhu edged out his opponent 6-4, 6-3.
Three more lions captured victories in the exhibition matches. Juan Carlos Romero defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-1. Canadas made quick work of his opponent 6-0, 6-2, and Lucas Sasaki rolled through his opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
Next up, the Lions take on USC Upstate on Friday, February 21st.
