SPARTANBURG, SC - The men's soccer team faced the Converse University Valkyries on the road on Wednesday night. The Valkyries defeated the Lions, 3-0, moving Emmanuel's record to 3-9 overall and 3-7 in league play. 

Converse started their night with a goal in the 16th minute. The Lions were unable to respond throughout the remainder of the first half, leading to a 1-0 lead for the Valkyries after 45 minutes. 

In the 58th and 61st minute, Converse tacked on another pair of goals, making their lead 3-0. Several shots were taken in the final third, but none found the net as Converse took the match, 3-0. 

Emmanuel ended the night with 9 shots taken, 3 of them on target. Converse took 7, 4 of them on goal. 

Next up, men's soccer will host Mount Olive for senior day, this Saturday, October 30, at 4:00pm.
