BELMONT ABBEY, NC - the women's soccer team travelled to North Carolina on Tuesday to face Belmont Abbey. The Crusaders beat the Lions, 2-0. The loss drops Emmanuel's record to 2-7 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
The first goal of the game came in the 21st minute when Goose Andrew's connected for the Crusaders. Neither team was able to score again as halftime came with BAC leading, 1-0.Â
The second goal of the night came in the 56th minute, when Logan Parry found the net for the Crusaders to increase their lead, 2-0. The Lions could only get a pair of shots off, neither of which found their mark as Belmont Abbey won the match, 2-0.Â
The Lions took 4 shots, 1 on goal, while the Crusaders took 21, 11 of them on target.Â
Next up, women's soccer will face the University of North Georgia on Friday, October 8 at 5:00pm.Â
