The Crusaders had a good look from in the box, but a frantic save for Weider kept the match scoreless for both teams through 45 minutes of play.

Belmont Abbey was the one to end the scoreless streak in the 53rd minute. The goal came when the Crusaders got a free kick from just left of the penalty box. A chip shot was headed in by Logan Perry of the Crusaders for the first score of the night. In the 58th minute, Goose Andrew's tacked on another goal for the Crusaders when she got one-on-one with Emmanuel's keeper. The Lions were unable to respond as the Crusaders took the match, 2-0.
