WIlson, NC - A day after taking down the Chowan University Hawks, Emmanuel stepped back on the courts to face the Barton Bulldogs, in an away contest.

The visiting Lions earned the doubles point today with a pair of wins. First, on court #3 with Raich / Castillon, who were flawless today, with a 6-0 win. On court #2, Ramos / Khemelevskaia, a break was all EC needed to clinch the doubles point by 6-4.

In singles action, the Bulldogs were willing to push back the momentum created by the Lions, but Alejandra Guerrero, on court #2, gave Emmanuel the second point of the day, with a very aggressive tennis from the baseline, by 6-1 6-2. Elisa Weng also had a strong performance on court #3, and after a closer first set, she controlled the match for a 6-4 6-0 victory. Emmanuel also earned another pair of wins today with Marta Rozados, on court #4, who had to go the distance to come up on top by 5-7 6-1 6-3, and Zyanya Rogel, on court #6, who faced a match full of ups and downs by both players, but gave the last point of the day for EC with a 7-5 6-4 win.

Emmanuel will have two days to hit the practice courts before they host the King University Tornado next Tuesday!
