Franklin Springs, GA – Women's Volleyball hosted Barton College in hopes of clinching a Conference Carolinas regular season champion title. In order to do this, the Lions would have to battle it out with the Bulldogs and secure the victory while North Greenville University battled it out with UNC Pembroke in hopes of a loss for them.
Emmanuel looked to advance to 16-1 in Conference play. The Lions started out strong in the first set but the Bulldogs would put up a fight in the final two. The Lions determination to win would ultimately secure the victory 3-0 over the Bulldogs. Overall, the Lions had 45 kills to Bulldogs' 30, 9 aces to Bulldogs' 3 aces, the Lions had 9 blocks to the Bulldogs' 6, 41 assist to Bulldogs' 28 and 51 digs to Bulldogs' 52. Set 1 (25-15), set 2 (25-23) and set 3 (25-21). EmilyHanson had 14 kills followed closely by
Alaina Emminger who had 13 kills.
Gabrielle McGlamery had a match high of 3 aces followed by
Kaitlyn Henderson who had 2 aces.
Gabi Reagan finished the match with 5 blocks.
Gabrielle McGlamery had 33 assists and Asia Queen had 21 digs. With this victory, the Emmanuel College Lions Women's Volleyball team would secure the 2022 Conference Carolinas Regular Season Champions.
Emmanuel will host Lees-McRae for their final game of regular season play on Tuesday, November 1st. Match that is set to begin at 7:00pm.
