Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel College Women's Tennis started the new season with a win over Young Harris College by 6-1. The Lady Lions earned a tight doubles point, and an extra 5 singles matches to clinch the win.

Doubles #2 Alejandra Guerrero / Anna Gonçalves and Doubles #3 Lauren Castillon / Soleny Gonzalez gave EC the doubles Point.
Soleny Gonzalez gave EC an extra point on court #2 in a 3-set win by 6-1 4-6 6-1
Eve Robinson moved Emmanuel closer to the clincher with a win on court #4 after trailing a set and a break down on the second by 3-6 6-4 6-4
Senior Zyanya Rogel also went the distance on court #6, with a comeback after dropping the first set with a 4-6 6-2 7-5 to clinch the overall win for the home team.
Alejandra Guerrero trailed 1-4 in the first set but found her best tennis to give EC a fifth point with a win by 6-4 6-1.
On court #5, Shatavisa Ghosh finished the day with a very convincing win by 8-3.
