Franklin Springs, GA - Emmanuel Men's Wrestling hosted Lander University for a region matchup against the Bearcats. Lander is currently ranked #1 in the region while the Lions are ranked #9. 

Emmanuel came out strong as their first two wrestlers, Gavin Hayes, Harvey Ridings and Gage Shetley would win their individual matches. Hayes, currently 9-5 on the season, defeated Kaden Fisher of Lander DEC 3-1. Ridings, 133lbs weight class, defeated Joey Felix of Lander DEC 6-3. Shetley , 157lbs weight class, defeated Bryson Ethington of Lander DEC 6-4. The other wrestlers would battle till the end but ultimately Lander would out match the Lions and secure the victory 29-9. 

The Lions will travel to the University of Mount Olive for a Conference matchup with the Trojans on December 11th.
