HARTSVILLE, SC - The Emmanuel College wrestling team faced the Coker University Cobras in a head-to-head duel on Thursday night. 

The South Atlantic Conference Carolinas matchup was won by the Cobras as they narrowly defeated the Lions, 23-18. The loss moves Emmanuel's record to 5-8 overall (0-7 SACC).

At 133 pounds, Joshua Kincaid scored six points for Emmanuel in his bout with Arthur Walsh. The victory came by pin at 4:56. Nicholas Volies also scored six points for the Lions in the 149 pound class. Micha Clemson (184) won his match by major decision, while Christian Tremble (157) won by decision. However, the Lions ultimately came up short as the Cobras won the duel, 23-18.  

Next up, men's wrestling will host Mount Olive for a duel on Sunday, February 13 at 1:00pm.
