Women's Lacrosse Falls to Mountain Lions on the Road

MARS HILL, NC - The Emmanuel Women's Lacrosse team continued their season at Mars Hill University today where they fell to the Mountain Lions with a final score of 10-18, moving Emmanuel's record to 1-1.

First Period
The Mars Hill Mountain Lions came in strong, scoring 3 goals within the first 5 minutes. Justine Dorelas managed to score for the Emmanuel Lions right after. Mars Hill scored once more before Christine Nguyen and Mickaela Davis scored back to back. Mars Hill scored 5 more times within this period, while the Emmanuel Lions only managed to score twice. 

Second Period
Justine Dorelas started the period off strong for the Emmanuel Lions, scoring a goal within the first minute. Mars Hill came back aggressive, scoring 3 goals, ending the second period with a score of 12-6. 

Third Period
Mars Hill didn't back down going into the third period, as they scored 2 goals within 3 mintues. Justine Dorelas scored 2 more times for the Emmanuel Lions before the end of the period. Mars Hill scored a final goal, putting the score at 15-8. 

Fourth Period
The fight was strong in the beginning of the final period. Mars Hill brought the heat, scoring 3 final goals. Justine Dorelas finished out the game for the Emmanuel Lions, scoring 2 final goals to put the final score at 10-18. 

Women's Lacrosse continues their season in Hartsville, SC Tuesday, February 22nd against the Coker University Cobras @ 7:00 p.m.
