Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Women's Lacrosse Clips Cobras, 13-12

HARTSVILLE, SC- The Emmanuel Women's Lacrosse team continued their season at Coker University where they brought home the victory, winning the game with a close score of 13-12. This puts the Lion's season streak at 2-1. 

First Period
The Cobras were aggressive to begin this period, scoring a goal within the first few minutes. The Lion's came back, scoring one goal with the help of Anna Gill. The battle continued though, as the Cobras scored once again.  The Lion's finished the battle in this period, as Bailie Garland scored a final goal before the period ended. 

Second Period
The Lions came in hot this period, scoring two goals back to back with the help of Justine Dorelas and Anna Gill. The Cobras fought back, scoring two more goals, only for Mickaela Davis and Justine Dorelas to score two goals for the Lions. The Cobras struck, scoring three goals in row. Justine Dorelas scored one more goal before the period ended, leaving the score at 8-7. 

Third Period
Justine Dorelas came back strong for the Lions, scoring her fourth goal of the game. The Cobras scored one goal, only for Anna Gill to score as well minutes later. This battle continued, as the Cobras scored, only for Justine Dorelas to score once more. The Cobras scored a final goal seconds before the period came to an end. 

Fourth Period 
Within minutes of the final period starting, Mickaela Davis scored her second goal of the game. The Cobras scored right back, tightening the score to 12-11. Justine Dorelas scored another goal for the Lions, as the game was too close for comfort. The Lions and the Cobras didn't back down the rest of the game. The Cobras managed to score one final goal with 30 seconds to spare, but it was no match for the Emmanuel Lions. The final score was 13-12, leaving the Lions victorious once again. 

Women's Lacrosse continues their season at home Sunday, February 27th against The University of Alabama in Huntsville @ 2:00 p.m.
